Bain's is the first South African single grain whisky, made in Wellington at the James Sedgwick distillery. Bain's has made an impressive debut in the UK, picking up a Gold Medal at the International Wine & Spirits Competition in 2010 and a Silver at the International Spirits Competition before crowning that with the title of World's Best Grain Whisky at the World Whisky Awards.

This a great whisky. I trend more towards Irish whiskey and Bourbon, so this is a great single grain, right down my alley. I went out looking for TD and bought this instead and I am very happy with my choice!

My Grand Daughter gave me this on my birthday. It also celebrated my love of South Africa and whisky. It’s a lovely whisky which I sip, no add on’s. My Grand Daughter sent me the whisky for my 80th birthday. She knew of my love of whisky and South Africa. What she did not know I had been to the James Sedgwick distillery on one of our annual holidays. The Bain’s whisky is wonderful and does not need anything added, just slowly sip and enjoy.
